To quote a legendary pop icon… It’s TIIIIIIMMMMEEEE!! That’s right, Mariah Carey fans, it’s out with the Pumpkin Spice Latte and in with the Peppermint Mocha… and the freezing temperatures, and all the comfort foods, and ALL the desserts, and the frantic gift shopping, and the constantly searching for relief from the holiday anxiety… Cocktails. Which means… ((drum roll))… It’s Holiday Pop Up Bar Time! ((confetti cannons ignite)) This is literally my favorite time of year. Yes, because I love Christmas, but also… BOOZE. There are a ton that have reemerged this year, and some new, and this list is a MUST for your to-do’s this month.
Candy Cane Lounge: Nestled in Resorts Casino Hotel, and open until January 3, it’s the perfect place to sip on holiday-themed cocktails and take some holiday selfies. Whether you’re looking for a place to celebrate with friends or simply want to soak up the holiday cheer, the Candy Cane Lounge is the perfect spot. In addition to the delicious drinks, the bar features festive decor and live entertainment! Look for performances by holiday characters around Resorts every weekend in December. They host Trivia Night every Monday, Karaoke Night every Thursday, an Ugly Sweater Party every Friday Night, and Bingo Night every Sunday! Go to https://resortsac.com/entertainment/winter-holiday-pop-up-bar/ to read up on their delicious holiday drink menu and events!
Jingle Bell Bar: Parked at 1927 Lounge, and just steps from the casino floor, the Jingle Bell Bar isn’t just a pop-up bar, it’s a total Holiday Experience, bringing festive cocktails, nostalgic décor, and themed entertainment. Experience the magic with friends and family, creating new holiday memories as you snap selfies, sing out loud, and spread cheer for all to hear this year at Jingle Bell Bar. They have quite an impressive list of themed cocktails like their sweet and island-y Santa Hat, their lip-smacking Gingerbread Old Fashioned, and my personal favorite, their Ocean Chocolate Salted Caramel. And by the by, Ocean Casino Resort offers more than Jingle Bell Bar, they take the holidays at the Resort to a totally new level, Santa’s Hideaway Adventure for the kids, and holiday-themed hotel rooms. Go to https://www.theoceanac.com/holidays to read up on all their offerings.
Holidaze Pop-Up Bar: Taking over Tango Lounge at Tropicana Casino & Resort, Holidaze pop-up bar has returned for another season through December 31st, celebrating the holidays with festive drinks and nostalgic holiday decor. And man, let me tell you about their drink menu… this bar has the most extensive list of offerings this season, with over 10 different beverages to try. I highly recommend “Judy’s Shaken Hot Chocolate” with Hot Chocolate, Peppermint Schnapps, Whipped Cream, Crushed Candy Cane. No, it was not named after me. But with those ingredients, yes, it should have. Go to https://www.caesars.com/tropicana-ac to read up on all their holiday options.
The Irish Pub: Located at 164 St. James Place, you have not experienced Christmas in Atlantic County unless you have visited this historic establishment. This building has been celebrating the holidays since the late 1800s. Like all the years before, they have transformed their building into a Christmas wonderland with thousands of twinkling lights, Christmas trees and one of the largest and most magnificent Christmas displays you’ll ever see! Families can enjoy a hearty meal, festive treats, holiday shopping in the gift shop and memorable photo opportunities to last a lifetime. Santa’s helpers will be handing out surprises to the children under the watchful eye of their toy soldiers!
Wash those hearty meals down with one of their many Christmas drink specials and, lest we forget, their world-famous Irish Coffee. Go to https://theirishpub.com to discover all they offer.
Deauville Inn: Hey… I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t sneak this in. Deauville Inn, in Strathmere, NJ, has once again transformed their venue into a holiday wonderland. Whether you’re hanging out in the pub catching a game, warming up by the fireplace while enjoying all the decorations and twinkling lights, enjoying on any one of our fantastic Holiday Sips in the dining room, or enjoying any one of our (award winning by the way) Happy Hour Bites, or nightly dinner specials, the Deauville Inn is the place to go for the Holidays. And if that wasn’t enough for you, Santa is coming to town! Join us for any one of our Santa Brunches, December 7, 8, 14, 15, and enjoy a sumptuous Brunch Buffet, sip on Holiday Mimosas, or a Build Your Own Bloody Mary Experience, then take a stroll into our Winter Candyland for a meet and greet with the Big Guy Himself! Kids activities include holiday cookie decorating, build your own hot cocoa bar, face painting, holiday activity books, and a gift from Santa!
